Hello. I’m back with another late weekly blog. I’m not going to waste anymore time with this blog. I’m going to get straight into it. Today, we’re going to have a nice long conversation about character development in animes. I know that I haven’t been particularly staying on topic of anime on this blog site. Sorry, but, here you go.

Character developments in animes play a huge role. Like, a huge role. Sometimes it could be bad or good for some people. Depending on who the character is, people may favor it or not. But, character development is meant to show how far one has come throughout the whole show. Without it, characters would have almost no meaning. Let’s go over some examples.

Sometimes, characters could be weak and fragile in the beginning, then slowly become strong as the show goes on. An antagonist is also one of the big key factors of character development. By that, I mean that lots of antagonists in animes end up changing their ways and develop into a better example and character.

A very popular character for me who has developed so much is Izuku Midoriya. God, has he changed so much. In the beginning, I know I wasn’t too fond of his crying and his weeping. But, I’ve learned to love that part of him. It was apart of him and I understand it. Look how far he’s gone. I haven’t read the manga, so please no spoilers or bully.

But, if you’ve watched the anime before, you know what I’m talking about. Deku has really changed and made us all proud. Deku’s kind heart as always stayed the same and that’s another thing that’s helping him develop throughout the anime. He’s still a cinnamon role, but an amazing one.

Moving on from Deku, he’s just one example of an amazing protagonist with a good character development. Usually if there’s a character no one really favors, they happen to have lots of character developments. They’re just like us, as we grow we develop. With them, as the anime goes on they develop. This is something I really love about anime. The characters are amazing and the way they change throughout the anime just make me want to watch more.

For me, there’s an anime movie that I believe I reviewed a long time ago that has all their main characters develop amazingly. And that movie is, Silent Voice. The reason I bring this movie up is because not only do the two main characters develop, their whole friend group does as well. Each character was so diverse, yet I managed to love all of them. Well.. most of them.

If you haven’t watched the movie, you have to. This is a must and you’ll understand what I mean by character development and difference in this movie. But, I’m not here to do reviews on two different animes. They’re simply just examples of today’s topic. Besides that, I’m going to leave it here. Remember to stay safe and clean.
